The association
One association.
One camp.
All heart.
Verein challenger-tricamp.ch is an independent association dedicated entirely to the Challenger Triathlon Camp.
It is made up of the coaches who plan and run the camp every year. Many of us were campers ourselves, and all of us are or were triathletes at a high level. We work as volunteers, alongside jobs, studies or our own sporting careers, because we want to pass on our knowledge and enthusiasm to the next generation.

History
Over 20 years of Challenger
The Challenger Triathlon Camp has been running for more than 20 years, and for over 15 of them the Centro Sportivo Tenero has been our home. In that time several generations of coaches have shaped the camp, and many campers later came back as coaches themselves. Some of today’s successful professional triathletes went to their first training camp right here with us.

The team
Our coaches
All Challenger coaches have competed in triathlon at a high level. Passing on their knowledge to young athletes means a lot to them.

Fabienne Grieder
Former camper
A participant in the second Challenger Triathlon Camp and a former elite athlete with national and international experience, Fabienne knows exactly what our camp is all about. As a youth coach with the Wildcats Triathlon Team and a leader on multi-day bike tours, she has shown her style many times: straightforward and consistent!

Josua Bürki
Former elite athlete
A former camper and also a former elite athlete. Despite his young age, Josua brings a wealth of triathlon experience. With his calm and level-headed manner, things never get hectic around him, and he always has the athletes under control. And when he cracks a joke, it lands!

Giacumin Cattelan
Former elite athlete
Giacumin knows which prank the athletes are planning before they do. When he was a camper himself, he kept the coaches on their toes all the time. He also brings a huge amount of triathlon knowledge and humour.

Nathalie Zwicky
Former national squad
Nathalie brings experience at the highest level: she was part of the national squad and competed in several international races. Her sporting career began at a swimming club and took her through every squad level in triathlon. As a teacher in training, she enriches the team with her calm and composed manner.

Lukas Hänel
Sports physician
A qualified sports physician and active triathlete, always cheerful, consistent and relaxed at the same time. Exactly the qualities we need at the Challenger Triathlon Camp. It’s no secret that Lukas loves grated cheese and puts it on practically everything.

Vincent Carillon
Active athlete
Vincent is still an active athlete himself and a three-time Challenger camper. He is the bridge between campers and coaches. He always has a joke ready but can also be very serious, and he likes to drop in a few push-ups now and then.

Andi Hollenstein
Veteran
Our most experienced leader is one of Switzerland’s first-generation triathletes and has seen a lot swimming, cycling and running. At camp he brings the calm we need, and you can always count on him. As his favourite drink is Gazosa, Ticino suits him perfectly.
Former coaches
You might meet some of them on the Gotthard ride: Anna Inderbitzin, Lea Inderbitzin, Benji Müller, Ueli Maass, Gaëlle Brack and Stephan Harsch.

Without the generous support of our sponsors, the camp would not be possible in its current form. A huge thank you to everyone who has stood by us for years!
